CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH.
Auckland.—A light south-west wind and dull, cloudy weather, with occasional in* tervals of sunshine, prevailed yesterday, but the sky was clear during the evening. There was a further rise of the barometer,_ the reading last night being SO.lOin. • Wellington.—After a light shower o rain early in the morning there was bright sunshine all day. Christchurch. —The weather was sunny and pleasant yesterday. Ihe wind was fresh from the north-east and the temperature was-63 degrees. The baromctci was steady at 30.04 in. . . t Dunedin.—There was a continuation oj fine weather yesterday, with a 'o breeze from the north-east. Ihe was fairly steady and registered 30.1w1*» in the evening.
