GRAMMAR SCHOOLS' CLUB. t «. »• CHANGE EFFECTED IN NAME, A [embers of the Grammar Old Boys' Rugby Football Club decided last evening to alter the name to Grammar Schools' Old Bo:;s' Football Club, this enabling delegates from the Mount Albert and Taka- » puna Grammar Schools to take part in the management affairs. Thera was an attendance of 90 members ri and 53 new members were elected. Mr. H. , J. D. Mahon presided. - , The annual repoz!, stated that the senior tea 11 had won the .Auckland Rugby Union's premiership and with it the Gallaher _ Menojial Shield last season. This was the third occasion upon which the club had - won lhe championship. The club also regained the Monteith Shield for having the teaai with the> best record in grade, ma;ch<s. W. Batty and if. Corner represented New Zealand, W. Batty played for*?,, the North Island against the South, while both players, together with A. Knight, J. v r Hutchison and W. Macindoe, represented'"the province. The thanks of the club was duo to various team coaches and to ; ,v the headmasters of the schools for- allow-,-7 ins ths use of grounds for practices. OTAHUHU CLUB'S MEETING. - r - Thers was an attendance of about 100 at the arnual meeting of tho Otahuhu Rugby Football Club, Mr. J. H. Muir presiding. ~ Satisfactory reports were submitted., together with the balance-sheet. Mr. H. Frost, ~ chairrran of the Auckland Union managemeat committee; attended and extended congratulations on tho advancement of the'"'' cluj to senior A grade.
