OTTAWA CONFERENCE.

SUGGESTED DELEGATES. MR. FORBES AND MR. STEWART. [BY TELEGRAIH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DTTNEDIM, Tuesday. The Manufacturers' Association this evening passed a resolution expressing confidence in the ability of the Prime Minister, the Kt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, and the Minister of Customs, the Hon. W. Downie Stewart, to represent the Dominion at the Empire Economic Conference at Ottawa. The meeting considered that as this would be the most important economic conference yet held in the British Empire, and as it was likely to have far-reaching developments in Empire trade, thq Dominion should be represented by the heads of the Government and not by any delegates who might represent specific interests.
