LOSS OF THE TEDDY.
SYMPATHY OF YACHTSMEN. A special meeting of tho Auckland xacnt and Motor-Boat Association was held last evening to consider what action the yachtsmen of Auckland should lake in regard to financially assisting Mr. K. I aml>s and family, of the wrecked yacht ieddv. J
The chairman, Mr. C. 11. T. Palmer, said the loss of (ho Teddy was a great blow to Mr. iambs. While it was not proposed to build him a new boat, it would be a, graceful and generous act on tho part of tho yachtsmen of Auckland if they could help Mr. Tambs and his family in their unfortunate circumstances. 'I he Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron had already opened a fund and the other clubs or individual members could either forward donations to the squadron or direct to Mr. Tambs, who, with his wife and family, had left to make their temporary homo in Napier. The general feeling of the meeting was in sympathy wilh Mr. Tambs, and the delegates were asked to bring tho matter before their clubs.
