REMARKABLE ESCAPE.

LORRY FALLS OVER B'.NK. STOPPED AGAINST A TREE. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Friday. Three employees of the Public Works Department, Messrs. C. C. Grant, O. Coleman and B. McDowell, had a narrow escape from grave injury when the lorryin which they were travelling plunged over a 300 ft. embankment, on the Te Ahoroa Hill, one and-half miles from Te Kuiti. The vehicle turned over five times and came to rest at the foot of a tree 60ft. below tlie level of the road. The three men were thrown clear and suffered only a few scratches and abrasions.
