A STRANGE FAMILY.
CHAOS IN THE WORLD. 'J hough truth l>n stranger than fiction it would surely he difficult to find a stranger family than that of tho Petorslcys, whose post-war travail is described in " Chaos is Cumc Again," a rcinarkablc story by Claude Houghton. 'J lie title is well chosen, since chaos is the keynote to the story, and designedly so. Therein lies t lie reason for the strange behaviour of this curiously assorted group of people who scarcely can be called a family at all. But the author lias tackled a difficult task with 110 small measure of success. He has endeavoured to show, mirrored in the lives of a few people, all the fears and doubts, the lack of real objective, or apparent lack of it, that have beset the port-war world and replaced the old traditional order with something new and as yet undefined. Chaos and fear are the theme, ami in it the reader will find much that has an uncomfortable ring of truth. " Chaos is Come Attain." by Claude Houghton. (Thornton Butterv.orth.)
