TO KEEP BLONDE.

BEAUTY'S WAYS. Lemon, white of egg, borax; it sounds so simple, and so ifc is if you go about it in the right way. There are two. Every beauty expert will tell you that too frequent washing is not good for the hair. By using a tablespoonful of borax, dissolved in the rinsing water, the hair will be dry, light, and fluffy for at least ten days following the beauty treatment.

A lemon rinse should finish every blonde's shampoo. Dilute the juice of one lemon in a pint of hot water, the mixture to be evenly distributed over the hair. When it is well rubbed in, the scalp should be washed with cold water. For a rapid and effective dry shampoo there is the egg treatment. The white of one egg beaten stiffly is sufficient if the hair is short. Massage thoroughly into the hair and scalp the stiffly beaten white of egg. Then wrap the head in a warm, dry towel until the hair is completely dry. The white of egg then becomes very brittle, and it must be well brushed out of the hair with a stiff brush. This homely beauty treatment can be comploted in twenty minutes, and leaves the coiffure delightfully soft and fluffy. .Moreover, it should not spoil either a water or iron wave.
