EMPEROR AND HORSES.
The Emperor of Japan was informed that two horses in his escort were slightly hurt by the bomb which was flung at the Imperial carriage recently. His Majesty immediately sent a message to inquire how the animals were progressing, and he ordered that each horse should fecieve a special Imperial gift of 71b. ot carrots.
