THE AUCKLAND HOSPITAL.
Sir,—With all the art unions applied for and granted of late years the most deserving cause o) all has had to freeze. Surely this institution should demand prior claim over sports chilis and the like. During these strenuous times I am sure there aro many patients, grateful as they may bo for the excellent attention and care received, who arc unable to meet the accounts. As a recent inmate of Ward 6 I can speak with some authority of the good work of the doctors acid nurses, all done with such cheer and goodwill, and as these nurses are changed round each month, I take it all wards are alike in this' respect. Indeed, the general atmosphere was*an inspiration. Therefore, in tile interests of survival of the fittest, let one and all assist our hospital first. ARTHUR CuJLIIINGB.
