GIFTS OF BOOKS.
An appeal to the public for gifts of novels and magazines for returned soldiers and others in. backblocks, camps and schools, is being, made by the Mayoress War Memorial Library League. The gift* can be sent to the bookroom at the Town Hall or placed in the bookbins. The work of the Library League is of great ;.| value, and has been carried on by.a faith* J ful band of workers for the past 11 years.
