CONFERENCE BALL.
SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION.
DELEGATES ENTERTAINED.
Another function arranged for the entertainment of delegates to the Medical Conference and their friends was a ball, which was held at the Auckland University College last evening. There was a very large gathering, and the dance hall presented a very colourful and animated scene when dancing was in progress. The stage had been charmingly decorated with bamboo, variegated foliage, plants and pink dahlias. Supper was set in the cafeteria, the women's common room and the adjoining room, the tables being arranged with bowls of cactus dahlias. Bridge was played in two or three rooms. Among those who were present were: — Mrs. Casement Aickin, who wore a frock of electric blue and gold brocade; the Mayoress, Mrs. G. W.
