IMPERIAL PENSIONS.

Sir,—l read with interest letters concerning above. Personally, I think it is about time the New Zealand Government paid up the difference on the rate of exchange. Last November I wrote to the Commissioner of Pensions for information. In reply, I received a letter stating that <ho question of compensating Imperial pensions was receiving consideration. Three months later I wrote again, but the question is still being considered. If the boot had been on the other foot we would have had to pay. The Commonwealth Government made payment on their depreciated currency (as from January, 1931), some time back, sy why tho delay here ? Übiquk.
