DELEGATES AT WHANGAREI.
BUSINESS OF CONFERENCE

The biennial conference of the Federated Women's Club of New Zealand which commenced in Whangarei yesterday, was concluded to-day. Mrs. Ilarman Smith, president of the Whangarei Women's Club was elected president of the Federated Clubs for the ensuing year, and Mrs. G. E. Holmes, of Whangarei, was elected secretary. A remit from the Canterbury Women's Club that in future the biennial conference bo lie'.d in one of tho four centres, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch or Duncdin, the North and South Islands alternately, was discussed. Ihe remit was rejected, but it was decided to hold tho conferenco in each island alternately. A Hastings remit that, in view of the inestimable benefit and help tho Red Cross Society was to people of (lie devastated area during the llawke's Bay earthquake, the Women's Clubs of the Dominion be urged to support, the New Zealand Red Cross in its endeavour to affiliate with the international Red Cross Organisation, was carried. A Tarauaki remit that the Federated Clubs undertake to finance a delegate to the Pan Pacific Women's Conference ni 1933. each club to contribute £1 a year for every 100 members or fraction of 100, was carried.
