FINE NEW BUILDING. SPACIOUS TREASURE VAULTS. LONDON. Feb. 2S. Tho truth of the saying: "As safe as the Bank of England," will be doubly proved when the secrets of the gigantic new building in Threadneedle Street are revealed 'to flic public gaze. The bank's new vaults are capable of holding £1,000.000,000 worth of gold, and are 60 feet deep. They will also house treasures of some of Britain's wealthiest families. Other features arc the spacious halls with mosaic floorings and the rare five-ton marblo pillars. The smallest flaws in the architecture have been immediately corrected, often at a cost of hundreds of pounds.
