CHAMBER OF COMMENCE.

JUNIOR BODY FORMED. The Auckland Chamber of Commerce recently decided to amend its constitution to permit the formation of a junior chamber oil tho lines of tlioso functioning in England, Canada and the United Stales. A meeting of young men to further the scheme was presided over by Mr. L. A. Eady, immediate pastpresident of the chamber, in the Chamber of Commerce last evening. Mr. Eady said the objects of the junior movement might, be expressed in the one word, opportunity. Directions in which the junior chamber could bo usefully employed included the advancement of civic activities, and the development of industrial and commercial education. Mr. F. C. Brookbanks, a member of the council of the chamber, said the junior branch would be tho first, of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. Tho meeting unanimously decided to form itself into a junior chamber and a committee comprising Messrs. A. Brown, A. M. Doull and 11. Innes, was appointed to net with the. senior chamber's sub-committee. Messrs. Harvey Turner, Eady and Brookbanks, to draft a constitution. A recommendation was made to the committee that the age limit for membership be 18 to 35.
