APPRENTICESHIP SYSTEM. ABOLITION OF ACT URGED. [Bl r TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WANGANUI, Thursday. The Master Builders' Federation conference passed a resolution that representations be made to the Prime Minister urging the abolition of the Apprentices Act and reversion to the apprenticeship clauses under the old awards, which were in operation prior to'the Apprentices Act coming into force. Officers were elected as follows; President, Mr. J. W. Graham (Christchurch) ; vice-president, Mr. W. Ellis (Dunedin). The next annual conference was fixed for Dunedin.
