SUNSHINE LEAGUE.
WORK AT WAIKATO HOSPITAL FUNDS ALMOST EXHAUSTED. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Monday. As its funds have become almost exhausted, the Waikato Hospital Patients' Sunshine League is threatened -with the prospect of having to suspend operations. For nine years the league has arranged regular visits to the patients in the Waikato Hospital and has done an immense amount of good in distributing gifts of fruit, sweets, tobacco and clothing. In addition it has arranged weekly concerts at the hospital, and has distributed a large quantity of reading matter. During the Eeriod it has been, in existence the leagua as distributed money and gifts to the value of £7OOO. The league is dependent on voluntary contributions, and while it has decided not to make an appeal for funds at present, it would appreciate any help.
