The Soviet, has notified (lie League of Nations that Russia's land forces total 504,303, including 30.354 officers; fir forces, 28,658, with 4949 officers; naval forces, 29,039, with 2397 officers; and frontier troops, 45,390. The Russian navy, including the Black Sea Fleet, consists of four capital ships, three cruisers, 26 destroyers, 20 submarines, two mine-layers, six mine sweepers, and eight training ships and auxiliary vessels, totalling 201,487 tons. The land, sea and air forces possess 750 aeroplanes. The total cost of upkeep of all arms is £120,000,000 a year.
