JUDGING AT TANEATUA.

The Whakatane Agricultural and Pastoral Association held the annual show at, Tarieatua 10-dav. The weather was ideal and the exhibits numerous. Accord ing to the judges, the quality of the exhibits was quite up t,o standard and judging was often very difficult. Ihe show was very well attended and was equal to that of last year, but owing to the association reducing the entry fee, it. is expected that the takings will bo approximately 25 per cent., below those of last year.

The ring events were exceptionally good, and the cycling events met with great enthusiasm. Exhibits anclfentries were received from the whole of the Whakatano County district and Opotiki and Tauranga districts. The prize list is as follows: HORSES. General.—Mare or gelding, any ago: A.
