The Kin.C has,approved tho conferring of a knighthood on Lieutenant-Colonel Nassau Snhrawardy, Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University. Colonel Snhrawardy was largely instrumental in saving tho life of Sir Stanley Jackson, Governor of Bengal, when tho attempt, on his life was recently made by a girl student.
