PRICE OF PETROL.

WELLINGTON REDUCTION. BOTH GRADES AFFECTED. A reduction of Id a gallon in the wholfcsale price of both first and second grades of petrol was announced in Wellington yesterday. The reduction was to take effect as from to-day. Inquiries as to the position in Auckland were made from local importers last evening, but managers stated they either had no information or were unable to give any information. Mr. F. Koss, secretary of the Wellington Motor Traders' Association, said the reduction had not been considered by retailers, but it would be in the course of a day or two.
