NEW MATSON LINER DUE AT AUCKLAND NEXT SATURDAY ON HER MAIDEN VOYAGE. The Mariposa (19,000 tons) undergoing her trials. The vessel will be the largest to enter regular service to New Zealand, and, together with her sister ships the Monterey and Lurline, will eventually replace the old Matson vessels Sierra, Sonoma and Ventura in the Los Angeles-Auckland-Sydney service, with calls at Honolulu, Pago Pago and Suva.
