RETURN TO PENNY UNLIKELY. MAINTAINING THE REVENUE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] DUNE DIN, Tuesday. Referring to postage rates, the Post-master-General, the Hon. A. Hamilton, stated to-day that there was little chance, however much Cabinet might desire it, of reverting to penny postage when the revenues came under review at the end of March. It was recognised, said the Minister, that .the change to 2d had reduced the practice of letter-writing by private people and caused business firms to adopt ryrsonal delivery instead of pos'.ing, but the revenues must be maintained as far as possible.
