METING ARRANGED AT ROME. It lias been doubtful where, the world's cycling championships, to be promoted by Italy this year, would actually take place, A fortunate chance has now settled that tliey will be held on a brand new track at Rome. The, body which governs the sport, iri Italy prevailed upon Signor Mussolini to become n member and sent him membership card No. 1. Thus introduced, they waited upon the Ducc. explained their troubles, and Mussolini at once promised that a first-class cement track should bor- built by th-j Government inside the. national stadium at Rome. The championships take place from August 28 to September 7, which js later than usual to allow the amateurs to get back from Los Angeles.
