GIRL OF 15 AS JUDGE.
A pretty pink-chreked dairymaid of 15, who locked as though she might have stepped out of a musical play, judged the steers at Smith field Show lately, says a London newspaper. Her hair hang in two golden plaits down her hack, and they swung to and fro as she prodded the 1 big black beeves. Afterward, the girl stood on a table and in a load, clear voice, addressed a group of eJderiy judges and grizzled fanners. They nodded . their approval, while the high roof of the hall rang with applause. The occasion was a judging contest for young farmers. The winners were a team from Shrewsbury-
