SHARK GIVES A SHOW.
INCIDENT AT WELLINGTON. A shark estimated to be from 10ft. to 12ft. in length was seen in the Wellington Harbour on Thursday afternoon. The shark swam up and down in tiie stretch of 'water between the Nelson terry steamer's berth and the end of the Taranaki Street Wharf. Hundreds of people watched its progress. Sdbnapper lines were thrown out :*i the hope of catching the shark, and even a 51 out manila rope. but without i-esu.t.. The shark seemed to be suffering ! " orn same disability, and several scars were observed upon it. Two large: jjingfish were also seen in the vicinity. v\ nen a row• boat appeared on flu scene the shark subnicrtred. and the majority of the people, after waiting for it to reappear, went " n their way.
