INCOME TAX DEMANDS.
GOOD RESPONSE IN BRITAIN. CONTINENT IMPRESSED. LONDON, Jan. 20. Lor don bankers continue to receive reports from the Continent in regard to the favourable impression created by the excellent response in Britain to the income tax demands. The inflow of revenue has nnabled a reduction of £35,215,000 to be made in the floating debt on the week.
