ST. CUTHBERT'S COLLEGE.
OLD GIRLS' EVENING. The Old Girls of St. Cuthbert's College were hostesses at a very delightful evening, held at, their clubroom in Chancery Lane, for prospective members of their association —those girls who are leaving St. Cuthbert's College at the end of the year. The room was looking very attractive with, bowls of Iceland poppies and roses, and on the wall was hung the college badge. The guests the evening were welcomed by the president, and later games and competitions were enjoyed, as well as a number of items The winners of the, competitions were Miss Joyce Jenkins and Miss Mary Davis. Contributing items were Miss Joyce Wright, a solo dance; Misses M. Grant and P. Philhpps, a character duo; Miss Nancy Lane, Miss Flora Robertson, songs; Miss Joyce Jenkins played the accompaniments. Later supper and ices were served. The committee responsible for the arrangements comprised: Mrs. A. E. Moore, Misses Phyllis Phillipps, Ena Potter, Nancy Anderson, Gwen Hooper, Joyce Carlaw, Isobel Wells, F. Robertson, Effie Ilardley, Phyllis Gash, and Valma Roulston. Members of the association present comprised: Misses Joyce Neumegen, D. Grove, M. Grove, B. Fletcher, G. Gardner, T. Jenkins, G. Mitchell, B. Cooke, B. Bews, M. Wallace, H. Leser, M. Leser, L. Seabrook, B. Seabrook, A. Read, Mrs. Eady (Ida Parkinson), S. Bloinfield, J. Thompson. M. Innes, Mary Davis, Nancy Lane, R. Robertson, Ruth Webster, W. Whitelaw and M. Goodwin. The prospective new members included : Margaret Shaw (head girl), Carol Witherow, Jean McNab. Jean Carruth, Barry Harbutt, Pat. Israel, Edith Tuck, Connie Brake, Margaret Lane, Florence Bell, Gladys Williams, Emma. Tanner, .Tean Gillies, Helen Douglas, Isobel Pratt, Betty Heyworth. S. Payne, Linda Collie, Nancy Jones, Lola. Marks, Joyce Connett, Muriel Hull, Ailsa Rose, Margaret Free, Margaret Will, Quita Taine, Margaret Anderson, Eunice Bell, Katie Melville, Nerellc Gloss, D. McFarland, Mary Macky, Lou Williamson, Edith Gillan, Joan Crouch, Molly Noton, Connie Read, Mary Kyd, Mary Wilson, Rita Pickwick, Frances Grant, N. Walters, Lorn a Campbell. Miss Fife, assistant-headmistress, was also present.
