FARMER FOUND DEAD.
DISCOVERY AT OTOROHANGA. WIFE DIES PREVIOUS DAY. [from our own correspondent.] OTOROHANGA, Saturday. An inquest was opened to-day by Mr. R. M. Somerville, the coroner, into tho death of Mr. William Manson, a farmer, aged 58, who was found dead at his home, Te Rau Mauku, by one of the farm hands this morning. His wife, aged 56, had died suddenly yesterday from heart failure. The coroner, after hearing medical and other evidence, adjourned the inqucsl.. The late Mr. Manson was very wellknown in Auckland, where he acted as secretary of tho Workers' Educational Association for a number of years. lie was also prominently associated Willi the old. Liberal-Labour movement. Coming from Auckland to Otorohanga seven years ago, he took up what was practically an abandoned farm, and during the time he' lived here he transformed the area into a model farm.
