MONEY RECEIVED LATE.
SCHOOL COMMITTEE GRANTS. MUCH INCONVENIENCE CAUSED. Much inconvenience has been caused lo school committees' in the Auckland Education Hoard's district by Ihc departmental capitation grants being three weeks overdue. The money, however, is now available, but no explanation has i'ecu given by the department tor the delay. In the past the grants have been made with regularity, and so accustomed to this had the committees become that concern and surprise was fell when it was found that tlie money had not arrived to enable them to meet commitments.
