THE POISE OF THE NECK.
IT3 IMPORTANCE,
The poise of a neck sometimes tells more to a discriminating observer than any other detail in a woman's appearance. There are necks which sag and droop, generally giving such an air of' dejection to the whole appearance that they add at least 10 years to the age of their owners. Yet a firm, white, shapely neck is within the reach of any woman who cares to take a. little trouble. Necks which have become shrunken and discoloured should be given an oil treatment. Heat some olive oil, to which an equal quantity of peroxide of hydrogen lias been added, and, having first steamed the neck, rub this preparation carefully in for about 10 minutes at least. Always massage against the lines. Leave this in for about half an hour, and then wash thoroughly with warm water, to which a teaspoonful of borax has been added. No soap should be used at this point.
