.Adults need all the vitamins, but children havo a special need for foods richest in vitamins A because these are essential to growth. Milk, butter, cream, beef and mutton fat, suet and carrots contain surprising quantifies of vitamin A. Foods containing vitamins B are also particularly good for children, just as they are for adults. Wholemeal bread, peas, beans, lentils, liver, egg-yolk, kidney, maize (semolina), oatmeal, cabbage, kale, potatoes, artichokes are among these.
