OBITUARY.

MR. J. J. GUNNING. A resident of Short Street, Newmarket, for 50 years, Mr. Joseph John Gunning died in the Auckland Hospital on Wednesday at the ago of 76 years. Mis parents came to New Zealand in the Jane Gifford, and Mr. Gunning was horn at Oncliunga. At the age of U he. removed with his parents to Thames, and later came to Auckland, where he was in business for many years. He, leaves three sons and thre« daughters, and there are 14 grandchildren and four great-grand-children. The interment took place yesterday at the Symonds Street Cemetery.
