LORD JERSEY ILL.
MAJOR OPERATION ORDERED, RECENT BETROTHAL. LONDON, Nov. l. The Sunday Chronicle states that his doctors have told the Earl of Jersey that he must undergo a major operation. Lord Jersey was very delicate as a child, but gained strength as lie grew older, and his friends are confident that there is no need for anxiety regarding the outcome of the operation.
The Earl of Jersey, who is the 21-year-old son of the seventh Earl, who was Governor of New South Wales from 1891 to 1893, recently became betrothed to Miss Patricia Richards, daughter of Mr. Kenneth Piichards, of Sydney.
