G. W. HUTCHISON, on Monday, Nov. 16, at 2.15 p.m. It will be the most complete Aviation Exhibition yet held in Auckland, and will afford you an opportunity—any day next week —of inspecting some of the latest developments in aircraft. THE Pilot Instructor, loaned by the Vacuum Oil Company, allows anybody, whether qualified or not, to get the flying atmosphere and use a 'plane's controls. The flier sits in a seat resembling that of an actual aeroplane, behind a huge glass case enclosing a miniature aeroplane. The normal controls of a 'plane, including control stick and rudder bars, are fitted to the chair, and to add reality a 20-mile-an-hour breeze blows across the miniature flying field. The 'plane answers the controls in precisely the same way as a real plane in the air. One takes off into the breeze, zooming upwards, and follows the usual manoeuvres of right and lefthand turns, side-slips and other aerobatics. "I his machine has given thousands of people in Amerca, Australia and elsewhere an opportunity of feeling just exactly what it means to control a machine in the air, and it is safe to say that from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily of "Aviation Week" it will be fully occupied.
