DICKENS FELLOWSHIP.
STYLE OF THE AUTHOR. There was a. largo attendance at. the fortnightly meeting of the Auckland T)ickens Fellowship held last evening under the presidency of Mrs. Kenneth Gordon. The Rev. A. R. Chappell was in charge of the programme, which was devoted to the closing chapters of "Our Mutual Friend" and an analysis of the style of Dickens. Readings were given as follows:—"Mrs. Sprodgkin," Mr. Preston Chambers; "Lizzie Hexham's Wedding," Mrs. J. W. Kcalv; "The Golden Dustman Revealed," Mrs. Kenneth Gordon; "Fate of Silas Wegg," Rev. A. R. Chappell; "Death of Bradley Headstone and Rogue Riderhood," Mr. R. C. Norris; "The Voice of Society," Mr. F. S. Townley Little.
