UNEMPLOYED DECREASE.
DOMINION REGISTRATIONS. TOTAL FALLS BELOW 50,000. [by telegraph.—phess association.] WELLINGTON, Thursday. For the first time since August the unemployment registrations as shown for the week ended November 9, have fallen below 50,000. The total at that date was 49.935, showing a decrease of 349 for tho week, and a decrease of 1473 since the peak was reached for the week ended October 5.
Of the 49,935 men the number who were engaged on part-time relief schemes was 53,546, which is lower by 3212 than tho figures for the previous week. Auckland figures were:—Registered last week, 7057; previous week, 6992; employed under scheme 5, 5997 (5899) ; unplaced, 1060 (1093).
