RUSSIA'S ART TREASURES. LARGE SUM FOR OLD MASTERS. (Received November IX. 11.5 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 11. The Daily Telegraph reports that Mr. Andrew Mellon, American Secretary to the Treasury, paid a large sum for about 20 old masters from the hermitage collection at Leningrad. The Soviet Government has been quietly selling Russia's art treasures of which the most important are going to Mr. Mellon.
