FINAL GALLOPS.

SEVERAL SMART EFFORTS. SPRINT BY SUPREMACY. GUINEAS HORSES GO WELL. VIEW HALLOO, GOLDEN WINGS. BY ARCHER. Some very interesting work was performed at Ellerslis yesterday, when most of the candidates for the Auckland Racing Club's Spring Meeting were given their final gallops. All tho important work was accomplished on the outside of tho course proper, where the flags were out about 45ft., and some smart efforts were recorded in spite of the fact that the coins was soft. Horses who worked well included Ivarapoti. Supremacy, Golden Wings, Vie\v Halloo. Cessation, Little Doubt and Taueriri. As usual, Gold Money (Ansel) was first out and f.he ran five furlongs in 1.8, the first two :in 20s and the last three in 425. She moved along nicely and seems none the worse for her races at Avondale. It is not yet known who will be her pilot to-morrow. Posy (McDowell) ar.d Rulanut (McTavish) were ou terms at the end of four furlongs in 545. They were not bustled and were travelling nicely at the finish, where Posy was going: very utrongly. Scotland Yard and Brampton were associated in a working gallop over six furlongs. Scotland Yard finishing in front to register 1.26 2-5. Moonfleet (Clifford), Karangapai (Wiggins), Restaurant (Murray) and Sir Mond (Parsons) were in the- order named at the conclusion of sis furlongs in 1.22 2-5. They had a good move-up and the first three furlongs were run in 39 l-ss. Although he was lightly weighted, Moonfleet's effort was good for a novice and Karangapai also went pleasingly. Bonny Mumble and Titanette ran five furlongs from practically a stand in 1.10 2-5. Bonny Mumble finished the stronger, but there wan not m\ich between them. Lady Paul's Seven Furlongs. Spear Lad (McDowell) held a slight advantage from Ls-dy Pam (McTavish) in the early stages of a eeven-furlongs gallop, but Lady Pc.m was holding him very comfortably when they completed the task in 1.3S 3-5. Lady Pam was well out most of the way anc. her effort was very satisfactory. Sho appear;} to be coming on with every gallop. Midinette (L. G. Morris) was about four lengths in advance of Genesta (Pine) at the conclusion of four furlongs in 51s. Midinett;e went in good style and was not doing her best at the end. Motere (Parsons) and Taurua (Wiggins) were allotted a working gallop over a mile, running the fi::st half in 57 l-5s and the full distance in 1.55 1-5. They were travelling well within themselves all the way and would have had no difficulty in making better time. Royal Gallarit (Tremain) and Speedfast (Connor) covered five furlongs in 'l.ll 2-5, and Excella Tea (Jenkins) went six furlong 3 in 1.25 3-5. Actaeon (McTavish) and Cape Gold (McDowell) ran their first three furlongs in 41 l-5s and completed six in 1.21. They were not asked for their best, but Actaeon appeared to bo going the stronger at tho erd Cadi and (Wiggins) led Consent (L. G. Morris) by three lengths at tho end of six furlongs in 1.23 1-5. They ran tho first three furlongs in 3D 4-5s and were well together until tho last furlong, when Cadland drew away. Cadland's rider had a good hold of him at tho finish and his effort was very pleasing. Consent, who had a big disadvantage in weight, also went quite well. Impetuous and Pomp. Impetuous (Pine) just shaded Pomp (light boy) over four furlongs in 52 2-ss, a smart effort. Impetuous did her work really well and isi an improving filly who will not be disgraced among the open sprinters tomorrow. Ansus and Ilabit were not fully extended to rut; six furlongs in 1.25. and Full Measure covered five furlongs comfortably in 1.0 2-5. Habit appears to have benefited by her raco at Avondale Bennie (Murray) and Lady Court (Connor) were better than Tatyoon (McTavish) and Good Idea (Parsons) over five furlongs in 1.& 2-5. Bennie wa3 finishing strongest, but .Lady Court and Tatyoon both went soundly for hacks. Supremacy (Wiggins) comfortably defeated Richfield (light boy) over five furlongs in 1.6 4-5. the first two taking 20s and tho last three 4C -l-ss. Supremacy was " off the course" round the turn and the resolute way in which he finished made his effort a good one. Richfield is not a particularly free worker, but he looks very well.

King Ford run three furlongs in 41 .">-5.«. and V olimoiid went four furlongs comfortably in 55 2-ss. Vi(!\v Halloo (Pine) defeated Peter Jackson I Stock ley) by two leijgtlis over six furlong!! in 1.21 3-5. Tliia was the best six of the morning, the first three being run in 3b 3-ss. and tney were together until the last furlong, when View llalloo rati on very resolutely and drew away. II was a nice piece of work on the part of both three-year-olds. Krrapoti's habit of slowing up at the end of• his work was in evidence when he was completing a five-furlongs "all op in 1.7 2 5. He went very boldly over the first four furlongs, but his rider had to keep kickine him to make him go in the last furlong. Golden Wings Shows Dash. Luciduh and Biddy's Boy. after running; the jirut two in 2S 3-ss. were cased up in tlie straight to complete five furlongs in 1.14. Rippling Waters Illuiiiiuagh (Wiggins) over four furlongs in 52 2 ss. Rippling Waters displayed a good turn of speed and seems (o be improved after her racing at Avondulo. Sea Killer (Keesing) and Miss Linlev (Ludlow) pleased belter than Splutter (Stockley) over four furlongs in 52 1-as. This was the best half-mile "f the morning and Sea. Ruler made a good impression. Golden Wings (Wigging) wan first out after the breakfast interval and sprinted five furlongs dashingly iu 1.5 4 5, the best of (lie moining over the distance. The three yearold is in great heart. My Own (Wiggins), with Jenny Diver (Ludlow) to assist over the last five furlongs. ran the last seven furlongs of a mile in )..')!) 2-5. My Own had a eood deal in reserve at the end, where she was iiiii:ii more freely than Jer.ny Diver. C'atoma (Fergus) and Gibraltar (Pine) Bcfealed Wild Country (Parsons) o-'e.r seven furlongs iu 1.37. The first half-mile took 5)3 3-5s and the last three furlongs 42 2-53. Cuioma, who made the pace, was kicked up to his work at the finish to keep on terms with Gibraltar, who finished strongly. Gjy Lap (Cammick) just led Pewa (Murray), with Curie (fair weight) some lengths behind, at the conclusion of five furlongs m l.'S 4-5. Gay Lap ran the first two furlongs in 25 4-5s and he was still doing bis work well at the finish, where Pewa was kicked right out. Croupier -(Wiggins) jumped off quicker than Orapai (Stockley) and Lady Quex (Pine) at the five-furlongs post and led thsm ove,r the first two furloiura in 25 2-ss. Orapni then went up to Croupier and just beat him home in I.G 2-5. Lady Quex being about a. coup'e of lencths away. Orapai and Croupier both went in good style, but Lady Quex was not bustled after losincr ground early. * Little Doubt (Stockley) and Cessation (Pine) finished ahead of Taneriri (Chaplin) arid Seatown (Wiggins) at the conclusion of a mile in 1.48 3-5. Seatown and Cessation led over the first half-mile in 53 _l-ss. but Seatown dropped back in the etraieht. where Little Doubt ran on 6trongly. Seatown's saddle slipped slightly at the finish, otherwise he would have been closer. Little Doubt and Cessation both worked well and so did Taneriri, who was carrying much more weight than the others. Hisnania displayed move speed than the Lucullus—Fabriouette fillv in a threefurlon '* sprint along the back in 40 3-ss.
