A substantial reduction in tho value of building permits issued by the Hamilton Borough Council is shown in the return s for September. Twenty-two permits were granted last month, as compared with 24 in September of last year, but the values of tho fiuildings represented dropped from £8534 to £2915. The total value of the 134 permits issued for the nine months ended yesterday was £22,124, as against, 195 valued at £54,841 for the corresponding period of last year.
