TRIBUTE TO BRITAIN.
GOLD STANDARD DECISION. SYMPATHY OF THE LEAGUE. GENEVA. Sept. 22. When Sir Arthur Salter, British financial delegate, announced the gold standard decision to the Economic Committee of the League of Nations, the chairman, M. Janson, expressed the committee's sympathy, adding: "I am convinced that that noble country, Great Britain, will soon overcome her present difficulties. (Prolonged applause.)
