OUTBOARD TOURING.
NOVEL TRANSPORT METHODS. The full possibilities ot motor-boat touring following the inception of the, fast outboard boat have not yet been realised except by. a few. In conjunction with a car, however, it, is now possible for an owner to enjoy motor-boating in various parts of the country at little cost and without much loss of time. Until the coining of the small, low priced boat suitable for attachment oil a trailer, motor-boating was limited to owners living in their own particular towns. Now, if he possesses a car lie can haul a trailer distances up to 100 miles in < 110 course of a few hours, so that, he has his waters available. sulficient iri the case of the average enthusiast to enable liirn to explore the beauties of different places. In this way motor-boating may become much more widespread and the advantage of an outboard craft will be appreciated by many who have had little occasion to use them in the past. Last year a-number of outboard owners conveved their craft on trailers to Mercer and tauranga to take part, in the local regattas and thoroughly enjoyed their out-of-town visit*.
