A. Harper and Perry (England) defeated Miss Marian Hunt and Charles Hunt, B—6, 7 —5. In the men's singles, Lott defeated Budge, 6—4, 4—6, (3 —3; Stoefen beat Mert.es, 6—l, B—-6. In the' women's singles, Miss Edith Cross defeated Miss Helen Jacobs, 3—6, 8-6, 6-3. In the men's doubles. Perry and Hughes defeated Oswold and Budge, 6—2, 6—4. FOOTBALL IN ENGLAND. ACCRINGTON BEATS CREWE. LONDON, Sept. 20. At Association football in the English League, Northern Division, Accrington beat Crewe. 2—o.
