BUILDING IN THE CITY.
FEW SEPTEMBER PERMITS. VALUE REPRESENTED. £12.583. After a temporary revival in August, the building permit figures for Auckland City fell again last month, the total of £12.583 being by a small margin the lowest for the year. The returns for the first nine months of 1931 and 1930 are as follows:
Included in last month's permits are one for a block of four shops and dwellings in Richmond Road, Grey Lynn, and six for dwellings, two at Remuera, and the others at Parnell, Tamaki, Grey Lynn and Point Chevalier. In September, 1930, permits for 14 dwellings were issued. For the two nine-monthly periods the totals are 67 and 167 respectively.
