The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, says the Cabinet is making, steady progress toward the formulation of its policy, and is working long hours to ensure an outline being ready for presentation to the House at the appointed time. It has not been decided whether the policy statement will be read to the House by the lion. \Y. Downie Stewart, as -Minister of Finance, or by Mr. Forbes, as administrative head of the new Government. J hat question will be decided within a few days. 1 he House will be occupied on Friday morning ;jn<j afternoon by the passage of the Imprest Supply Bill, upon which discussion is nyt likely to be unduly prolonged. An adjournment will then be made until Tuesday evening. As soon as consideration of the policy statement begins the House Mill resume its normal working hours, sitting in the afternoon find in the evening until 10.30 o'clock, unless urgency is accorded any measure the rising hour is governed by the length of ?he debate necessary for the disposal of tiie particular business.
