TENNIS IN AMERICA. DOUBLES CHAMPIONS BEATEN. (Received September 29, 5.5 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO. Sept. OS. The Pacific and South-west doubles tennis championship at Los Angeles was won by Vines and Gledhill, who defeated Allison and Van Rvn, tho national doubles champions, 6—4, 6—4, 7—5. In the first round of the Pacific Coast championships at San Francisco, Perry (Britain) defeated Fottrell (San Francisco), 6—3, 7—5, and Hughes (Britain) beat Lefiell (San Francisco), 6—l, 6—3. ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. RESULTS OF LATEST MATCHES. LONDON, Sept. 28. Results of the latest Association football matches are;— Southern Division: Northampton lost to Luton, I—2. Scottish.—First Division: Aberdeen heat Falkirk, 3—l; Dundee beat Third Lanark, 6—3.
