INTEREST REDUCTION.
MR. LANG'S BILL PASSED. FLIGHT OF CAPITAL FEARED. SYDNEY. Sept. 29. The Interest Reduction Bill was read a third time in the Legislative Council and has now been passed by both Houses. Some members of the Legislative Council fear that the measure will cause a flight of capital to other States, owing to the drastic reduction of interest on fixed deposits.
