RECENT AUCKLAND MURDER. COUNCIL'S DECISION AWAITED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Monday. It is expected that the Executive Council will make a decision this week in tho case of George Rameka, who was sentenced to death on August 6 for the murder at Auckland on June 24 of Mrs. Gwendoline Johnson. The relevant papers are now before the Attorney-General, the Hon. W. Downie Stewart, and there is i every probability that tho Executive j Council will meet to-morrow to consider , the case and decide whether the sentence shall be carried out.
