Y.M.C.A. COMPETITION. VICTORY FOR HAMILTON. [FItOM oua OWN COHRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, Friday. The New Zealand Y.M.C.A. boys' indoor athletic test has been completed »nd has resulted in a win by the Hamilton team for the second year in succession. The prize is a shield presented by the Herbert Smith Trust. , . There were six athletic events m the competition, namely, high jump, standing hop. step and jump, standing long jump, potato race, bar snap, and fence vault.- Each association which entered was required to select the 12 best average athletes among its boy members between 12 and-14 years-of age. Hamilton secured two first and tour second places. ' _ The placed teams were:—Hamilton, 14 points, 1; Palmerston North, 13 points, Cliristchurch. 5 points, 3: three points, 4; Wellington, 1 point, 5.
