A CHILD'S PRAYER.

0, please, dear God, do not forget, When we are all asleep, The dear little, lonely things. That fly and swim and creep; My dolly in her cradle, * Because it's very dark; And every little sparrow, And every little lark. The nightingale that sings alone, All through the whole night long; Because everybody is asleep, Please listen to its song. Take care of everything that's lost, The little dogs that stray, And fishes struggling in their nets, And lambs that lose their way; The little rabbits in their pain, When caught by traps or snare, If no one elso will pity them, Please, God, will You go there? It's dreadful to be lonely, Lord, With none to sympathise; So don't forget the sparrow, When the little sparrow dies; For Jesus said You knew them all, And He was always right; So will You please take care of them, Dear God? Good night! Good night! —Thomas CyttOp. From Estelle Morton, Lucerne Rd.. Renauera.
